About

I’m Mark – a qualified hypnotherapist and solution-focused psychotherapist. Since 2007, I’ve helped people reduce anxiety, build confidence, and make meaningful changes in their lives.
My approach is calm, collaborative, and based on what works. You don’t need to have everything figured out when you arrive – we start where you are, and work towards what matters most to you.
How I work
My therapy is practical and forward-looking – helping you feel calmer, more in control, and better equipped to manage whatever life brings.
Together we can:
Work through issues that may have held you back
Explore feelings and emotions in a safe, supportive space
Reframe negative thinking and build healthier patterns
Strengthen your ability to cope and bounce back
Reconnect with your goals, purpose, and inner resources
I use a blend of evidence-based techniques from solution-focused therapy, hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) – all shaped by the Human Givens approach to emotional health and wellbeing. This helps ensure therapy is not just insightful, but also effective and tailored to you.
Sessions are available online, or in person (with availability in Sutton Coldfield and Faringdon, Oxfordshire).
My background
I trained with Uncommon Knowledge, one of the UK’s leading hypnotherapy training providers. Their diploma emphasised research-based, integrative therapy grounded in real-life application. I later supported trainee therapists as a supervisor on the same diploma programme.
Before training as a therapist, I qualified as a solicitor after completing my law degree at the University of Essex – giving me valuable insight into the pressures and emotional demands of professional life.
I’m a registered member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). I adhere to their professional standards and ethical code.
If you're considering therapy
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes it’s about taking a breath, getting perspective, and exploring what’s next – with someone who’s in your corner.
If you’re ready to take a step forward, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
